#MMFF2015 | Robin Padilla-Maria Ozawa movie in the works

THE Bad Boy of Philippine cinema, Robin Padilla and retired Japanese adult film actress Maria Ozawa are teaming up for a movie set for release in December. Actor Troy Montero broke the news on Instagram. “Its official, our next movie will star Robin Padilla & Maria Ozawa. Here we go! #mmff2015 #welovepost #htp #hauntedtowerpictures #mft #teamblackops,” he posted, along with a collage of photos featuring the two.

In a separate post on Facebook, showbiz scribe Mell Navarro disclosed that Lopez was once again tapped by Haunted Tower Pictures to helm the Padilla-Ozawa movie tentatively titled “Nilalang.” He described it as a suspense-thriller. The production company aims to launch the project in the mainstream competition of the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival later this year.

Since she stopped doing adult videos in 2011, the 29-year-old Ozawa has been doing mainstream movies not only in Japan, but also in Indonesia, Taiwan, and China. Her first mainstream movie was “Invitation Only,” billed as “Taiwan’s First-Ever Slasher Horror.” She also starred in a the Japanese fantasy-horror film “Tokyo Species.” Ozawa came to the Philippines for a business trip last April. She marked the 9th anniversary of Magic 89.9’s “Boys Night Out” before gracing the covers of UNO and FHM Philippines for May and June, respectively. In an interview, she expressed desire to do a movie in the Philippines. (Mikee Delizo via TEMPO)

Mikael Daez learns Khmer martial art Bokator for a role

Kapuso star Mikael Daez is training for one of the oldest fighting systems of Cambodia called Bokator as part of his role in a mini TV series with Khmer celebrities. Bokator, which is literally translated as pounding a lion, is a martial art that incorporates attacking movements and postures of animals into kicks, punches and elbow smashes. It is said to be similar to other Asian martial art forms like Muay Thai. Before leaving for Cambodia, Mikael trained for Muay Thai to get a head start on Bokator. “Yung foundation ng Bokator is Muay Thai (so nag-train ako for that)… kasi mahirap kung biglaan (sa Bokator training) eh,” he said.

Jasmine Curtis-Smith goes sexy for Rogue

For her cover appearance, she was photographed by in-demand lensman Mark Nicdao and styled by Patrick Galang. Her hair and makeup were done by Raymond Santiago and Robbie Pinera, respectively.

Experience with the Action King

With Robin Padilla’s new organic lifestyle, there is no better time than now for him to be the newest brand endorser of natural cough medicine, ASCOF Lagundi. This was revealed during a grand press launch held at 55 Events Place yesterday. At first, the award-winning actor was hesitant about the project because he thought he would be endorsing a synthetic product --, something he tries to avoid because he prefers to use herbal medicines in real life. “‘Nung unang pinitch sa akin ‘to, sabi ko ayaw ko ng mga gamot kasi hindi ako uminom ng gamot kasi kami ni Mariel organic [living]… pero ‘nung nakita ko na organic talaga ang ASCOF Lagundi [pumayag na agad ako],” says Robin in an interview when he visited LAC Farms, one of the country’s biggest OCCP (Organic Certification Center of the Philippines), GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)-certified organic farm owned by Pascual Laboratories, the maker of ASCOF Lagundi. Robin and wife Mariel Rodriguez believe that one should choose herbal medicines because it is natural unlike synthetic ones that may cause liver deterioration.
